Pastor's Weekly E-Blessing
GRACE GREETINGS!
"Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:19
A new year sparks new beginnings. The truth is, God provides new beginnings every day. He provides a new way for us especially through difficult times. And although we look at a new year as being a time to have a fresh start, God gives us a fresh start every day.
We can anticipate new beginnings when we keep Jesus first in our life. Our focus must be on the promises of God that He gives us in His word. Knowing the promises of God gives us an optimistic outlook on the future. Jesus has promised that we have a future home in heaven when we trust Him as our Lord and Savior. While we live our lives here on earth, God has promised to take care of our needs and that we can cast all our cares and anxieties on Him. These are the "new things" God does for us everyday.
A new beginning should produce in us a new outlook on life, a new excitement about God's blessings for us and a new challenge to exercise our faith in Him. Our positive attitude about Jesus Christ has a way of drawing others to know Him.
A new beginning begins with a new birth!
Jesus said; "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3
